An additional two individuals have been arrested in connection with a robbery at Heathrow Airport in which 21 people were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, according to police.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area on suspicion of robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals are still being held, the force said.
The arrests follow an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the incident, two women were robbed of their suitcases upon exiting a parking garage elevator.
A three-year-old girl was among the those hurt in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later discharged.
Officers arrested a 31-year-old man for suspected theft and assault close to the location. He has since been released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.
Authorities were called at about 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding several people hurt by an irritating chemical believed to be pepper spray.
The assault - which police said was isolated and not considered terrorism - resulted in delays to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park briefly.
